Obituary for Alva "Lorraine" Price (nee Kearley)
Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family, Alva "Lorraine" Price (nee Kearley), of Grand Bank, aged 75 years.
Predeceased by her parents Edward and Jessie Kearley; brothers Thomas and Joseph; sisters Annie, Effie, and Marjorie (Patrick); sisters and brothers in-law Alice, Thomas, Peter and Charlie.
Left behind with broken hearts are her husband of 53 years, Junior Price; three daughters Gloria (Howard), Kim (Corwin), Jessie (Darryl); grandchildren whom she adored Travis (Francesca), Jonny (Rebecca), Joshua (Chloe), Jordan, Cori (Brady), Malory, Barbara (Ivan), Elaine (Kenny), and Darlene (Josh); great grandchildren Tristan, Tara, Aiden, Wyatt, Jace, and Layla; sisters Nina and Rose (Jimmy); sister in-law Pearl; special friends Carol and Addie, John and Verena, and Bill and Mary; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
A special thank you to Mom’s homecare worker whom she adored, Lisa Mews, who helped keep her comfortable at home; as well as the staff of Dr. S. Beckley Health Centre and Blue Crest Nursing Home. Your kindness and compassion during the last few days will never be forgotten.
As per Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Fortune, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held on, January, 12, 2023, at 11:00am. Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank.
